There is an online forum and club which is called the "Black Mustang Club". The decided to make a annual calender with the Car of the Month winners featured in it. Apperantly when they set up with cafepress to get the calenders made, cafepress took them down and said that an attorney from Ford claimed that all of the items featuring their vehicles need to be removed.

wow!

If even 1/2 of that is true & there really is an issue between Ford and this club...that is sad.

Looks like Dodge might get a few extra sales ;)

That's crap....they have no standing whatsoever......

If I was that group... I'd sue Ford..

I hate intellectual property rights.. such a damn shady area. You purchased the car so you should do what you want and how you want with it. So sad...

That's a very gray area......the cost of the lawsuit will probably come nowhere near covering any awards.....

yeh but if you acually read all the posts included in the follow-up thread for this BCM club you will see that it was actually a misunderstanding between the printer of the calender and Ford. Apparently they were trying to use Ford trademarks in the calender... it had nothing to do with the members taking pictures of their cars and using them in a calender. The beef with the printer was resolved by the BCM club simply by using another print shop.
