I hit a couple of deer[:@] last week which caused some major damage to my front end. Since my engine and transmission were untouched, I'm going to look for a body and do a swap, rather then pay $3,700 to repair the frame/body. I need to know what other dodge cars (models, years) can I swap my V6 engine and transmission into with minimal changes?
Well, besides another Dakota, you should be able to drop them into any other dodge or Chrysler product that had a 3.9 or 5.2 engine. That being said, expect to need to do a lot of fabrication because I don't recall any other car using these engine series except for the Fury and Diplomat lines as well as the Ram and the aforementioned Dakotas we all love. yea personally if you've never done a swap before you might end up paying just as much and a lot of time doing it. Im pretty sure its damn expensive to pay a shop to do it to if you can find someone to do it
