I was just in the truck, and i put the headlights on, one was out so i tapped it and it came back on..after going to the bank i start the truck back up to come home, put the lights on and they come on for a split second then shut off, both are dead..anybody know what i should check first, relay, bulbs, wiring? i hate elctrical problems, i dont understand electrical very much but good thing for the fog lights i installed otherwise i wouldnt have been able to see..thanks for your help guys.

Check fueses and check the wires at the bulbs maybe you have a short or a bad ground. In the FAQ there is a wireing diagram to help you.

yea the wire block melts on those. I had to do mine. You can get a kit from Dodge for the 3500ram recall. I think the package with the Switch and the connector is aroun $100. But you can buy the same stuff from autozone for cheaper. Around 60bux. I can't remember the part numbers right now. If you need them PM me and I will get them next time i work there (tomorrow)

Yea, the headlight switches can go bad.
OEM part number is either 4565320 or 56007334.
But I'd see if that is actually the problem before replacing it, money can be spent better if that's not the problem.
