I have paid attention to the loading script at the bottom of the page... The times that it seems to take forever to load it seems to be stalling out loading CATCELL.gif?? Do the admins know what this one is? loads on every page for me and loads very slowly most of the time...

Anyone?

When I check the page source, it looks like it might be the fast reply area...  I am not sure if that is really what it is,  but from what I know about HTML, XML, C++, and Java...  thats what I draw...    Keep in mind, I am not "good" with any of the above mentioned coding languages...

it looks to me like its part of the smiley selection of fast reply, but im not sure, it might be the toolbar or above the fast reply area like the reply/fast reply buttons, but i dont have time or patience to read all the code to be sure

I began getting page hangs when loading Dodgeforum posts with Firefox that I had to manually re-enter the http address to eventually
successfully load after one or two tries.

At first I thought this was because i was using WiFi and only had a 3 bar signal and was getting errors

Then, after reading this post
and another that advised turning off 'fasterfox' extention
I realized that others were having problems
and I tried firing up Linux and trying Firefox with that OS
and the same no-load of webpages happened,
even though I was using another OS and no extentions in Firefox at all. I also tried the Gnome bowser Epithany and found no-loads with it too.

I then went back to WindowsXp and used IE7
and found that there were still unsuccessful page loads
but less of them.

For the last 20 minutes I have been using the
Apple Safari Beta browser for Windows
and have not had one no-load yet.
I have been running Safari with the preferences set to not accept any cookies except from the original webpage...in other words no advertising cookies.

I am not complaining...just passing on this info in case it helps give clues as to what might be causing the slow loads or hang-ups of the webpage displays

catcell.gif is an 8x30 gif that looks like it's used as a layout background image.  This is it here: http://www.dodgeforum.com/image/catcell.gif

You can accomplish the same thing by loading the AdBlockPlus extension in Firefox.
