new to this, just got & installed a k&n air intake sysytem to replace factory. easy install, great sound, seems better performance but w/ regular driving ( not hittting it hard all the time) mpg went from 18-19 mpg around town to 14mpg ...any ideas ? should i get it recalibrated by dealer?  any body have similiar problem / fix ? also have heard from others that using hi test gas gets better mpg, but owners manual says not good for engine, any feedback ?  i was using mid grade before conversion  .. thanks for info

Try resetting the adaptive learning by pulling fuse 11 or disconnecting the negative battery wire for a few minutes.

I assume you have an RT w/MDS.  At times I notice MDS isn't kicking in when it should and resetting adaptive learing via negative battery cable or fuse 11 (I perfer fuse 11) fixes it.  For fun try reseting the adaptive learning one more time.
