hey to all again

getting a little bored in the long winter months and looking to make a slightly more dramatic mod to my 07 R/T !

have been looking at http://www.classicdesignconcepts.com/shop/index.php?l=product_detail&p=19 and have a few somewhat serious questions about this before i go cutting up a perfectly good hood and throwing my K&N CAI to the wind :

has anyone else done this mod yet and if so is there ANY performance gain or is it just looks ?

what about any rain, snow, normal everyday road dirt and stuff getting in it and what COULD be the consequences if any/all of this would get into the engine system?

and what abut the hood lining ? i understand that it would have to be removed but any issue as to the heat or noise?

thanks in advance

I've seen some that have a shaker, it makes a good cold air intake (CAI) that will run good for CAI HP gains <= don't look for much HP from any CAI.

Those intakes are designed to wick water away so it souldn't be a worry.

I've ran without a line for a long time and haven't experienced any issues.

I just bought my 08 Charger R/T yesterday and have been looking at the shaker hoods, and I saw a few comments on the ChargerForums.com about guys who have the CDC kit and had issues with it cracking... and I have heard a LOT of good about the dankoreproductions.com version (plust I think theirs looks better...)
Just wanted to share what I have seen in searching!
