OK, here we go, I had an error code of P0132, I have changed the oxygen sensors, done a full tune up, Cleaned the throttle Body, changed the TPS sensor and the IAC. Now the vehicle runs alot better. Right now there is no error code ( but I a sure it will come back in a day of driving, it has every time so far after I changed a component) When the car is warm after I stop and place the car in park it runs for about a minute and then stalls, I was just wondering if anyone can suggest where I should be looking next. I have read some posts about bad batteries being common on durango, would this be signs of a bad battery?
Also is there anything else this could be? Any help right now would be appreciated.

Just some backround on the truck, it is a 2000 R/T Durango with a 5.9. It has almost 300 000km on it, so I am trying to decide on wither to keep the truck or take it out back and lay it to rest. It has several other issues as well, heat core, evaporator ( never heard of both of them going before but just my luck) the front wheel bearing and needs new tires.

Personally, I would not take it out back and leave it to die... Instead, part it out; you'll get money back and the truck won't go to waste. With almost 300,000km (186,300 miles) on a truck, the only situation where I would keep it, is if its diesel. Soon (if not already) the water pump will go, radiator, etc...

Just my two cents.

I would like to save the truck if possible. In the summer if it is running right we will be trying to convert it to Natural Gas.

OK now I have the error code P0138 which is the other Oxyen sensor What would be causing both to bereading high Voltage?

P0132 (M) 1/1 O2 Sensor Shorted To Voltage Oxygen sensor input voltage maintained above normal operating range.


Check the voltage going to it?

I doubt it was the battery, unless it was really overdue to be changed.

Before you go any further, get that battery tested asap. Our Durangos are notorious for acting crazy like this when the battery is on its way out. If the battery is 4 years old or more, I would replace it anyway.

From whatI have read, the the PCM needs a good strong reference voltage from the battery, and if this is missing things can run amuck.

Start with the battery first.. Try to keep the everything else to a minimum for a step by step trouble shoot. Could end up saving you time and money..
