Merry Christmas folks,

I pick up my Mopar CAI tomorrow, Santa came late, the dealership called stated they had that and a upgrade Mopar exhaust system in that was ordered for a new car deal that fell through. I'm getting the CAI for $300 and the want $800 for the exhaust. I came across the Cherry Bomb Charger
http://www.cherrybomb.com/project-charger.html  I was thinking of just eliminating the resonators and going with a Cherry Bomb in there place.  I just can't see paying $800 for a replacement system that is basically eliminating the suitcase and resonators with individual mufflers and some tubing.  Is there something I'm missing here?

Several of us have been down the same exhaust trip: modding this... changing that, fighting drone all the way and ending up with a catback of some flavor.

Good luck and I hope it works, keep us in tune with whatever you try we always like to know what the others have tried.

Here are some old threads on exhaust...

Thanks Mango,

I've read and reread them. I don't want the drone for sure, I'm usually running 80-85 for 5-6 hours. I figuer if the drone appears I can put the resonators back on and I'm not out the cash. I like the idea of cutouts for playing as well.

Well, 11,000 miles on her and put the CAI on Saturday. Man it woke her up. Can't even hear the exhaust for the engine scream, or maybe my wide smile is causing my ears to close shut + got 23.5 mpg with a headwind running 85 mph this morning. Now time to play with the exhaust. Does anyone know off hand the exhaust piping size forward of the cats and after the cats? The mopar exhaust the dealership is trying to sell me is a 2.75 catback system.
