Default Trouble Shooting

My 2002 Durango is killing the battery most of the time overnite. There are a few times that it will last all day and be ok, but usually the battery is dead if I let it sit all day without running it. What are the most frequent things that will drain the battery?

(I always make sure everything is turned off)

Yaki:

Glove box light staying on etc. Do you have any aftermarket items installed?? Also, could be a shorted diode in the altermator.

How old is your battery?? If it is 4 years or more, have it tested. Better yet replace. There coud be a shorted cell inside draining it slowly.

Have Auto Zone do a load test on the battery. They can also check the charging system all for free.
