hey to all & hope everyones holiday was good & safe !

got a ? about these struts and have read the posts about them.

just orderd them yesterday from my local dodge dealer and got them today. my issue is that the numbers i gave the parts guy (the ones exactly from the previous thread ) but dont match what i got

the struts say " STABILUS
                      44831-A
                      *** blah blah blah warning***

                      1404YT  0355N 311/07 B 21
                      04589606AA "

My ? is - are these the right struts? they look exactly like the ones on the trunk - no red and green labels like i read and NO other hardware in the kits!

trying to install on my 07 R/T cause like alot of yous i HATE that single import P.O.S. hood prop

ANY help would be greatly appreciated

Not sure about that 733subvet.

MoparSuperCenter shows these part numbers

Kit contains the following items:
1- PT# 5065278AD Cylinder
1- PT# 5065279AD Cylinder
2- PT# 6507889AA Ball Stud

Here is a direct link to  the parts.

well again - you guys hooked me up = THANK YOU !

ordered mine the other day from moparsupercenter - cant wait to get the right ones and get them in.

what has everyone else done with the hood prop - did most of you guys (and gals) leave it on or take it off ? if you did remove it completely, how did you do it. just looked at mine and can see the pop rivet that holds it down but without drilling it out is there an easier and safer way to remove it?

Are you sure that these struts will work with your next upgrade?  You know, the hand laid carbon fiber shaker hood, with the true cold air intake, and shark gill engine cooling air vents...

C4 NOT A BAD IDEA - GIVE THE HEMI ALOT MORE BANG -but would the warranty cover it

just so anyone was thinking (or cares) just got my struts in from moparsupercenter and guess what - THEY BE THE SAME DAMN PART i got from the dealer !

the only difference is the ones i got from the dealer didnt come with the fender mounting hardware

as to the the hand laid fiber hood - gonna go with the shaker hood from classic design concepts, just have to be careful when i open and close it that since i will be missing a large amount of metal from the center that it wont warp it

still waiting for ANY idea to how to gently remove the damn prop rod - starting tothink i am gonna have to drill the pop rivet out - DAMN

I hadn't looked at the prop, if the darn thing is pop rivited you have two choices either grind off the top or drill it.

I just left mine in. It doesn't vibrate. If it bugs you, get out the drill. When I ordered mine from the dealer, I ordered the struts and lower mounts for an 05 Magnum (my friend had one that I got the idea from). The service guys at the dealer like them cause they have more room to do their thing.

Have fun.
