That is NOT STOCK. It is the Hennesseey 650R upgrade. Don't spread false information and make us at DF look stupid please.

I'd like to point out first that that was a convertible/roadster....so it weighs slightly more then the coupe....the coupe will probably put up a 10.65-69 number...

However,a stock C6 Z06 ran a 10.98 @ 129 onfactory issued run flat tires....which are horrible for drag racing.......

678hp = .21 seconds faster in the 1/4 mile over a stock C6 Z06 with 500hp.....

That really doesnt impress me.....and most of all.....what happens when the ZR1 with 650+hp hits the street?

Perhaps you didnt understand what I said. The engine is stock, air box, and the suspension. The mods were Hennessey long tube 1 7/8 stainless steel headers with Burns collectors flowing through full 3 inch. stainless exhaust with mufflers and no cats. Also ran with Stoptech cross drilled rotors which save about 8 lbs per corner. These were Hennessey's exact words, no false information.

Saying it is stock, is misleading.

We have been down this road so many times, why do we keep circling the neighborhhood??

I DO NOT CARE WHAT AFTERMARKET cars can do. HP wars is all about factory tuned cars. Hennessey is not factory tuned. Stop comparing a non-factory car to a aftermarket car, it is embarrassing.

The point is 08 Viper with exhaust and intake mods ran 10.7@ 137mph. The Z06 did 10.98@ 128 on street tires. Theres a big difference in mph. Viper 137mph Z06 128mph. Maybe the ZR1 can close that gap. 2008 MTI Viper.

Big difference???? The Viper is modified....on drag radials...... the Z06 is completely stock and ran on factory issued run flat tires..... and the Viper is .21 seconds faster....

That same Z06 ran a 10.83 @ 130mph on drag radials the same day......

I'm sorry, but this 650R isnt worth the cash invested in it.....

The Viper still beats the Corvette, but your comparison is horrible....

For the money, the new Corvette ZR-1 is still better.
