Hello, My girlfriend's intrepid's blower fan seems to have just quit working this morning. Of course it has to pick a nice COLD day to do this. She says she can feel a little bit of heat when her hand is in contact with one of the vents, but the blower is not blowing any air through...no matter what speed she has the fan turned up. Any ideas? I think this may be related to a problem she's been having for a better part of a year or so. Intermittently when she had the fan on for heat or AC, there was a noise coming from the dash..like a low-high pitched hum or whine. Thanks in advance!

Sounds like it needs a new blower motor. The whine was probably it's death rattle.

Thanks! That's what I was thinking. A couple of other people had told me to check the fuse first. While that may be true, I think the fan was definitely on the way out, so that is going to need replacement anyway. Any ideas on how easy this is to do that '95 Intrepid? Also, I've never replaced one of these before...does the fan and motor usually come as an assembly together?
