93 Dakota - 11/28/2007 5:53:54 AM    Zemo   Posts: 2 Joined: 11/27/2007 Status: offline I have a 93 Dakota with 180,000 miles on it. It will not start, I have changed the fuel pump, but did not help it. I figured out that i have no spark. I was told that would shut down the fuel. Was wondering if anyone had some suggestions since i have changed the pump and did not help. Post #: 1

RE: 93 Dakota - 11/28/2007 8:34:38 AM    partsman31523 Posts: 71 Joined: 7/20/2006 Status: offline disconnect the coil wire at the coil and turn it over.  if you have a spark there then reconnect your coil wire and check for spark at the distibutor cap.  (the other end of the same wire). If you have spark there, check for spark at each of your plug wires.  *********IMPORTANT!!!  DO NOT HOLD THE WIRE WHILE SOMEONE TURN THE ENGINE OVER.  YOU WILL GET SHOCKED!!!*************************************************** _____________________________ 1996 reg cab,2wd, 3.9L, 5 speed Dual exhaust from the glasspack back with SS tips High flow cat, 5.2L tb, open air holley air cleaner, k&n filter, electric fan, 3 panel hard folding tonneau cover all at 20.14 MPG as of 12-3-07! finally broke 20! I went home and guess what a wire was corrioded in two. I want to thank this forum it was a savior to me. (in reply to flyers win the cup) Post #: 4
