Hi all,

I really need your help, advice and input please...my charger is my baby and I want only the best for her :-)

I know this topic has been beaten to death, but I really need some clairification. I'm trying to decide which cold air intake system to get for my 06 Daytona. I am looking at the following:

K&N Cold air intake
AEM Brute Force
AFE - Magnum Force Stage 1

I know alot of you have installed these in your chargers and really need some honest opinions. I'm looking for a bit of increased horsepower and a bit better gas mileage. Are any of these really worth it?

thank you,
Theresa

Hi Mango,

Yes I would. However, I was told that if I have no mods on my car, I would only need stage I. Is that true? What is the difference?

Thank you!
T.

I don't know why someone would tell you the stage I is better than a stage II. The stage II costs a bit more but it's an investment for today as well as the future.

The stage II has a better shape that will allow air to flow much better. It should perform every bit as good as a stage I if not better, even on a stock car.  If you put more engine/exhaust mods on the car in the future the stage II will enhance those mods much more than the stage I.

Either way, stage I or II, the afe is a good intake and you can't go wrong with either decision.

Good luck and happy modding!

If you never plan to change your hood I suggest the Fujita F5.  ITs a true cold air intake that pulls air from the front air damn.  Look it up on ebay or the net....

The more popular intake for the Chargers is the AirHammer.  Check them out.  $400 + but they're Dyno proven and they will customize it for you.

I agree RevHammer's AirHammer is the best one out there right now.  The afe stage II is the same design as the AirHammer only it's manufactured out of plastic not metal.

Actually the AFE is not like the AIRHAMMER, there are many differences, Filter size, Interior and exterior diamater size and shape, material and a few other design differences i wont mention..lol
If it was dont you think AFE would sue us..and I talk with AFE on a regular basis
As for pricing, if you buy from a licensed retailer who isnt selling below AFE's suggest retail of $304.00 then the AIRHAMMER is cheaper too starting at $269.00

I should know I am the Director of Operations for HAMMER AUTOMOTIVE INC.
