Default DO NOT BUY STP OIL FILTERS!!

Ok, so, I dunno if anyone remembers, but the first oil change I did on this truck was hell. To top it all off, the STP oil filter I got with an oil change special was not threaded correctly. SO here I am tonight, doing plugs, air filter, and oil, only to go down there on the stones at 11:30 at night to have the exact same thing AGAIN with the STP filter they gave me free in exchange for the last one. Now I am pissed. My sis needs the truck to go to school tomorrow morning, so this F'n sucks. Hopefully I can get it taken care of by then. Oh well. So what should we do about this? I think I am going to call autozone and email STP and see if that does anything.

Yeah that is what I bought to replace the first STP filter, autozone was closed so I just went into advanced and got a Fram. The only reason I got an STP in the first place was because they had a special at autozone, $11 for 5 quarts of quaker state and an STP oil filter.

I dont use fram anymore. on my t-bird the filter sits sideways and the oil would drain out of the filter and cause a dry start everytime. not good for my turbo. the frams dont have a anti drain back valve in them

I use AC Delco filters; from the research I've done, they are the best, even on our Dodges.

I hope you didn't try force it on. Are the threads on the engine connection still o.k.? Not stripped? Don't mean to insult your intelligence, just asking. Let us know how you make out.
