According to Hennessey he already has people that want this car. In acceleration it matches the Veyron. With a power to weight ratio of just 2.7 lbs. 0 to 100 km/h times in less than 2.5 sec. and a 0-300 km/h time of around 14 seconds

Yeah, while he's not building cars thatbreak speed records, win 0-200mph racesand competing with top supercars everywhere, he makes these.

This is with 1000hp not the optional 1200.

How is taking one of the fastest cars in the world and making it faster building anything??? All he does is slap turbos on it and call it a day....

IF any single person here had the money, we could dump the same amount of money into half the cars on the planet and probably attain those speeds...

Idiot? Word of advice,I'd suggest you look in the mirror before you call anyone an idiot........

But since you dont get it.... I'll explain it....

Chase is a hardcore Viper fan.... I'm not.... and I'm not impressed by Hennessey at all.... it doesnt take a lot of work to build a fast turbo car when you start with one of the fastest cars on the planet to begin with....

Chase and I agree to disagree on this quite frequently...

There are reports on other sites (reputable sites) that Hennessey has wronged many Viper and Ram SRT owners. I would not go anywhere near him.

I'm not even getting into a speed argument at all with the reject (he he he).

He is right It doesn't take alot of work to take a fast car and slap on turbos and make it faster. All you have to do is.

1. Find the right Turbo.
2. Get a Higher volume fuel pump
3. Change out the pistons to lower compression, this is of course if you want alot of boost.
4. change the fuel mapping system on the car, so that it runs and doesn't explode.
5. change the exhaust.
6. rout all the plumbing for the turbo.
7. Upgrade the brakes so that you have the stopping power, Ie. the faster you go the better your brakes need to be.
8. Upgrade the cooling system.
9. im bored and done with this.

Dish out the hate because Hennessey has unsatisfied members, dish it out because he takes Vipers and makes them spank almost every car out there. Point is, the cars he makes are some of the fastest in the world and I'd imagine when you're behind the wheel of one, none of this trivial stuff matters.

Not hate, it is fact.

It is not trivial, when a company has a bad rep people will not use them just because of the rep. Would you go to a gas station that pumped 87 octane out of their premium hoses? Of course not because their busniess practices are not good, bad rep.

I have never heard bad things about http://www.undergroundracing.com/ http://www.lingenfelter.com/ does not have this bad rep. Bottom line, there are to many turners and builders with good running businesses to deal with BS.

He already has customers that are interested in this new Venom GT.

It's very annoying to see that every time Hennessey makes a fast car, all people have to say is that's it's not the fastest or he didn't completely build it or he's had problems in the past. Whatever, looks like an awesome car.

Never dissed the car in any way, just how he runs his business. Once the site where I can get info from recovers fromerrors I will send you a PM. I am just passing along info (after all we are to share info on this site as well as opinions). There is no doubt he can build fast cars.

The cars he does not destroy are amazing automobiles. I have seen a few (primarily srt10 rams) cars he built get destroyed by what he did then had no answers for the owners and said sorry not my problem to the owners. There was also a controversy a while back about his motorsports complex in Texas where his children ran around and pretty much terrorized customers. When this problem was brought up to Hennessey himself by the customers, he banned the guys from his track for talking bad about his family. He may make some nice automobiles but the facts are that he has some shifty business practices.
