Hey guys,
Here's whats goin on. When I put the truck in reverse, the back-up lights don't come on. They used to before, but i'd really have to wiggle the shifter and pull it down almost to the point where im in "N". Does anybody have any ideas on how to fix this problem, or where exactly to start at?
I have a 98 Dodge Dakota Sport 2wd 5.2L V8 Automatic

Thanks

Before you start taking apart the columm for the neutral safety, check you fuses.  I have had that problem and found a bad fuse.  I tracked down a bad wire which was my problem.  Bad fuse means a short somewhere.

Well I took out the fuse and it was blown. Then I changed it, and I still get the same thing.
