Back-up Lights not coming on
Hey guys,
Here's whats goin on. When I put the truck in reverse, the back-up lights don't come on. They used to before, but i'd really have to wiggle the shifter and pull itdown almost to the point where im in "N". Does anybody have any ideas on how to fix this problem, or where exactlyto start at? I have a 98 Dodge Dakota Sport 2wd 5.2L V8 Automatic Thanks |
RE: Back-up Lights not coming on
Sounds like you nutral safty switch. Located on the tranny driver side. Just buy a new one. you should post under the 2nd gen dakota for more results.

RE: Back-up Lights not coming on
Before you start taking apart the columm for the neutral safety, check you fuses. I have had that problem and found a bad fuse. I tracked down a bad wire which was my problem. Bad fuse means a short somewhere.

Well I took out the fuse and it was blown. Then I changed it, and I still get the same thing.
