Default Zimmer Dakota?

Anybody ever hear of these?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Rare-...QQcmdZViewItem

I'd heard of the Dakota Express & Warriors with the fiberglass stepside, but hadn't heard about these zimmer packages that were made to look like dually one ton trucks (but really just have wide rear tires)....

While I think it's alittle fugly, I must admit that there is a certain appeal there...

It may be custom but there are more than one. Here is another one that was for sale recently. Sorry I couldn't get a better picture of it but the full pic was pulled after it sold. It looks alot like the other one. All the way down to the two tonepaintscheme and the running boardsI looked for ever and haven't found more infoabout it but im still looking. I recall one being in south west missouri.

well guys...i searched the net for 2 1/2 hrs tonight and found nothing on the zimmer dakota. the only thing i found was an apparent convertible dakota that i knew nothing about and the shelby dakota. however not saying the zimmer dakota didnt exist. it could be like the express and be done after the original manufacture of the truck. that would be my guess.

I believe they were very much like the lil red express, done after the original manufacturing and in limited numbers

could have also been a dealer modified truck, built in very limited numbers,
"Zimmer Dodge" does have a familier ring to it....
cleaned up with some modern mods it would look very cool

It does have that back yard modified look to it. Plus, I've never seen or heard of one.

probably just some conversion company, might have a sticker on the tailgate, glovebox or back window stating where its from, but i highly doubt that was in actual production from factory
