RE: transmission leak - 12/30/2007 2:23:05 PM    pebcak2000 Posts: 87 Joined: 7/24/2007 Status: offline I have a 2007 Charger R/T just over 6000 miles and my wife has an 2005 Magnum R/T just over 36000 miles.  What should I look for?  Just how common is this problem?  I know Chrysler had problems with the transmissions on the minivans for years.  Are we going to face the same thing? RE: transmission leak - 1/26/2008 5:20:38 PM    Black Charger R/T   Posts: 10 Joined: 7/19/2007 Status: offline I wish I had known about this.  I just talked to a guy who said he went out of town for a few days and left his Charger in the garage.  Got back and a pool of transmission fluid under it!  I don't know about you guys, BUT THIS IS NOT A GOOD THING!  He said he took it to the dealer and they put in a "sensor."  What does this mean for the transmission down the road?  By the way, Mango, thanks for posting on this site.  YOU KNOW EVERYTHING! RE: transmission leak - 2/5/2008 5:47:08 PM    syswayne   Posts: 15 Joined: 7/1/2006 Status: offline Same here on transmission, have a 2006 Charger R/T went on a trip and left it in my othere garage for about 3 days and had a big puddle of transmission fluid.  Took it to the Dealer and he said it was an O-ring in the transmission and he said they were seeing a lot of this.  Fixed and great now. RE: transmission leak - 2/14/2008 7:59:35 AM    betta510   Posts: 87 Joined: 6/4/2007 Status: offline So far I haven't had any problems with any type of leaking, BUT I have had a problem with my car when I'm at a red light, stopped. It feel like it will do a quick jerk, some people describe it as a thump, like someone gives you a little bump. When I took it to the dealer the guy said it's still trying to learn my driving habits. I smell bulls**t! I'll wait to see if it's consistent and if so, I'll take it back. This thump happend a couple of times between 3,000 and 6,000 miles, right now I'm at 11,500 and its happend at least 6 times in the last 2 months! It also turned off on me while at a red light. Turned it right back on with no problem but (correct me if I'm wrong) a new car isn't suppose to do this. (in reply to MangoInTX) Post #: 9

I have an 06 charger 3.5L with 43,000 on it and it just started leaking yesterday. Can they just replace the O-ring, or is it the whole sensor? I'm not sure how much to expect to pay. They knew what was leaking without even looking at the car. (in reply to snowflake) Post #: 11
