Depends on the condition. If its fixable its a sweet car.

The car runs and drives.

Heres the description:

This is a 1973 Dodge Charger, The car runs, drives, and looks great. It is Black with a black interior. The drive train consists of a 383 motor and a 727 Transmission,(hurst shifter). She runs and drives tight and the acceleration is positive. The transmission sifts threw all gears smoothly. The car clean windows. Dash and door panels are good.Vinyl roof was replaced The brakes work, gauges and lights work. Tires are in good shape. The body has a very clean finish.

Personally, I like the 383.  I've heard it described as the big block that thinks it's a small block, i.e., revs quick.

What kind of shape is the rear end in?  I notice it seems to have some healthy meets on the rear wheels.  Use a magnet if you have concerns about bondo on the car.  Check around the back window as that was, IIRC, a spot prone to rust.  Looks good, though.

383 is a quick rev'r.  The 440 is the torque and hp monster - well, except for the 426 hemi.  I don't know much about 400s.  I think most guys use 400s as stroker motors and stroke them to something like 416s, etc.  There are some web sites that are really good for these old mopars - pm me if you want and I'll direct you to one.

FYI
1973 Dodge Charger SE 440ci
0 to 60 7.4sec

The 383 is a little slower.

Buy it for style, not speed...
