Heres the description: This is a 1973 Dodge Charger, The car runs, drives, and looks great. It is Black with a black interior. I bought a 70, and cant wait to get it done decalguy24 11-02-2007, 04:29 PM seeing is believing i would try to drive or at the very least see the car for yourself there are a ton of shady characters out there try not to get burned and good luck p.s. pic looks great wssb11 11-02-2007, 11:31 PM thanks for your respone!!! 74scamp 11-05-2007, 10:36 AM Personally, I like the 383. I've heard it described as the big block that thinks it's a small block, i.e., revs quick. What kind of shape is the rear end in? I notice it seems to have some healthy meets on the rear wheels. Use a magnet if you have concerns about bondo on the car. Check around the back window as that was, IIRC, a spot prone to rust. Looks good, though. dave wssb11 11-07-2007, 06:31 PM what the 383 like compared to the 400 or 440? 74scamp 11-08-2007, 09:48 AM 383 is a quick rev'r. The 440 is the torque and hp monster - well, except for the 426 hemi. I don't know much about 400s. I think most guys use 400s as stroker motors and stroke them to something like 416s, etc. There are some web sites that are really good for these old mopars - pm me if you want and I'll direct you to one. dave IXLR8 11-08-2007, 08:19 PM FYI 1973 Dodge Charger SE 440ci 0 to 60 7.4sec 1/4 mile15.2sec from http://www.albeedigital.com/supercoupe/articles/0-60_Quarter_Mile_Times/D_E_0-60times.html The 383 is a little slower. Buy it for style, not speed... |
