Mobil-1 is good stuff. There are long term independent oil tests on the internet you can check out, just make sure the folks doing the tests are really "independent" and not a test lab associated with the product. Royal Purple is also good, but you can get a 5 quart jug of Mobil-1 at Wal Mart for about $22.

You can also use Amsoil. That is what I run in all my vehicles, N/A and turbo

both royal purple & mobile 1 are great. royal purple says that their product will increase mpg and hp by 3 to 5%. mobile 1 is most tested product and seems to be just as good in my opinion. (they put mobile 1 in vipers, and used in nascar). Amsoil says they are better than both. no personal knowledge of it but others in the forum swear by it. Amsoil is also not as easy to find as mobile 1.

I would stick with the manf. intall of mobil 1. My srt says it on the oil filler cap. I will use it until the warranty runs out at 70k. I found it at Wal-Mart too. Think it was around 6 bucks a qt. Also, our master techs tell me that the engine really needs it. Stated that it has one of the best flow rates that ensures the proper coverage of all the internals. Thats a good thing, esp when ya got the hammer down. lol
