I am having a debate with some people over the Dodge Viper being a sports car or a muscle car. I see it overall as being a muscle car rather then a sports car. It may look like a sports car and drive like one, but they have to now and days for it to sell. Nobody wants a giant square body that drives good in a straight line, but bad in handling. What are your guys opinion on what the Viper is?

Firehawks can be argued to be a muscle car and same wit the GTO because the are so powerful but they should be sprts cars. Chargers/300c/Magnums are modern muscle car... Muscles cars are supposed to be almost full size cars with too much power.... Mustangs, camaros are sports cars. Old Mustangs and Challengers with BIG blocks were muscle cars. All old cars with small blocks were not mucle cars! SS350 Camero... not a muscle car. AAR 'Cuda... NOT A MUSCLE CAR. HEMI Belvidere... MUSCLE CAR. Charger R/T 440 Magnum Muscle car. SS396/454 Chevelle Muscle....
The new front drive impala and Chevelle just buckets that should never be purchased!
I said almost full size. A1968 Charger was not considered a full size car at the time! The only cars that were considered muscle cars that were pony cars (Mustangs GT500, Cuda's, Cameros Yanko 454and Challengers 440/HEMI) had to have big blocks. But that goes for all muscle cars from the 60'2 and 70's. I think that most should be clear of that. I have too many friends that think their 70 Nova with a 350 is a muscle car. Its a hot rod if they have done things to it.... Oh! Viper is a sports exotic!!!
