Default hood scoop

I am wanting to do something with my hood eventually. I was wanting a scoop on it like an SRT would have, and I was just looking for the stick on type. (the ones with the cleaner, flush looking edges) Since the Avenger hood has the 2 indented lines running down the hood, most scoops out now will not work. My second thought was to do something like the one in the pic. Any suggestions? Would something like this look good in your opinion on the Avenger? Any imput would be appreciated.

Here is a crude version of what it could look like with the Lund style dual scoops. I do not have photoshop here at work, so I had to use ms paint. Sorry it is so crappy, but it gives a general idea.

Actually I just finished painting my dual Lund scoops and they are dry now.. so I will post pics of what it looks like on my car.. You did a good job on the photo by the way.. That's exactly what they look like on my car lol I don't know if I should even bother posting a pic of my car now lol (Even though my paint is black)

The paint I ordered came out awesome.. perfect match, dried quickly, and the clearcoat went on smooth.. I did a better job on the scoops than the factory did on paintingthe car which is surprising because I'm not a professional painter. Probably says something for the paint quality on the car lol

I was waiting on a warm dry day to put them on the car so I won't trap any moisture under the scoops.. plus I was waiting for some of the wax to fade from the hood so I have been waxing everything but the hood for the past few weeks.. looks like im probably going to have to strip the wax off cause its still going strong lol.

That's the exact reason why I went with the dual Lund scoops though.. to preserve the lines in the hood plus I though it might have been a little cheesy looking having the lines go under a single hood scoop.

All in all im happy with the quality of the Lund dual scoops.. But the grille they send with them does not look like it was made for the scoop as it doesn't fit the hole correctly.. it fits but it doesn't look correct.. The only other complaint with them is there was mould lines that I had to sand down but they would have looked fine if I left them as they followed the contour of the scoop.

Those Lund scoops are what I put on my 2003 Explorer (had them professionally painted as I didn't want to mess them up... had the inside grille painted to match the accent color on the truck;^) They are excellent looking, fit great and get lots of compliments... I'd love to see how they came out on the car. I'm toying with the charger SRT scoop, but wold like to try it out on the hood before buying (for fit and final look).

Ok, Ill put some pics up when I stick the scoopson... Guess what its doing now here... Raining.. Again! This weather is killing me.. I just want to stick these things on the hood and cant get a good day to do it..

I put in a line level control knob in the car last night to control the bass from my subs from the front of the car and since I had the dash apart I routed the Aux line in the front of the radio inside the trim and down through the center console so I don't have wires dangling all the time from the radio.. I also mounted a gooseneck for my handheld computer (So I can watch DVDs and drive.. Until I get around to buying FreeGig) so I spent my time last night doing that stuff but if I knew it was going to rain I would have just stuck the scoops on (Didn't want to do it at night cause I can see me putting them on crooked and then noticing in the morning) lol

I was also holding off on taking pics of the car cause I wanted to tint the windows and didn't get to it yet.. but no biggie.. Ill take/post em when i put the scoops on.

Ya it's raining here too in Connecticut. Are you in New England? Maybe tomorrow you'll be able to work on the car. It's supposed to clear up here.

Im bored out of my mind since its still raining here.. So here I am on the forums again.. I have all this stuff I want to do to the car but since I can't I'm searching for more stuff to buy and install later..

I wanted to get a decent Voltmeter for the car but I wound up buying this http://www.scangauge.com/which I pretty much bought just cause it had a voltmeter since the car has most of the other features built in. lol but it should come in handy later on when the check engine light starts popping up which im sure is going to happen with this car the way things have been going with my car so far. (That's the way I am trying to justify essentially buying a $170 voltmeter in my head) Im planning on mounting it below the cigarette lighter.

Ok, I put the dual Lund hoodscoops on.. The hood was awet from the rain so I can see them flying off when I get on the highway Actually wiped up the water with a towel andran the engine for an hour while I prepped to get rid of most of the moisture so it should be ok (I hope)..heres a pic..
