Default HELP!!! SRT8 Charger engine hesitation

I bought my new SRT8 Charger back in July and have installed aram air intake and magnaflow cat-back exhaust system. At first I definitely felt the hp increase, but recent have been feeling a slight hesitation on take off and slow pick up when I'm trying to pass another car. I am also noticing that there is a drop in RPM from about 2000 to 1000 when trying to floor it when the car is in motion. Another thing Inoticed was that when I liftoff the gas pedal, I can physically feel the engine down shifting through the gears. This can't be normal! Just wondering if anyone is experiencing something similiar or has any suggestions on what I should do?

my buddy had the same problem with his, when he added aftermarket stuff. just unplug the neg. battery cable for about 4 hours and the computer will reset itself. once he did that it was back to normal. his rear wheel power was 356 stock and after the mods went up to 380. so there was def. an improvement. all was done at bristol dyno

Do NOT unplug your battery terminals. You can reset your adaptives by simply pulling fuse 11 for fifteen seconds. Anyways... you sound like POSSIBLY your ESP is kicking in and cutting your throttle in these cases. It will feel like the engine stalled out, then came back on. Try pulling fuse 11 and you should feel more pep from the mods, but I'm not sure what your hesitation issue is. Turn off your ESP completely (6 second hold until it chimes) and I'm willing to bet your issues might go away. As the weather cools and the pavement is slicker we break traction easily.

Just give your throttle body a really good cleaning. My 6.1 hemi was doing the same thing. I took a tooth brush and soaked down the vane, scrubbed away alongwith the trottle body cleaner. An hour later, it felt like the day I drove it off the lot. Shot about a 1/2 a can to get the backside of the lifters too. I try to do it every few months. Helps the gas miledge to boot.
