You Won't Believe the Hellcat Challenger is Faster than these 5 Cars

With 707 horsepower under the hood, the Hellcat powered Challenger is gonna win some races. Here are some exotic and infamous performance cars your Hellcat will most likely blow away in a heads up race, based on Car and Driver's 3.6 seconds 0-60 mph and 11.7 second quarter mile times.

1. Ford Mustang GT350R

Ford's latest Mustang GT350R is a seriously fast, track focused machine with few creature comforts. It runs 0-60 mph in 4.3 seconds and completes the quarter mile in 12.2 seconds, courtesy of a naturally aspirated 5.0 liter V8 producing 526 horsepower. The Challenger Hellcat may be heavier, but it makes mincemeat of the Ford, and comes with air conditioning and a back seat. The Hellcat's 707 horsepower makes up for the added heft, allowing the Hellcat to run to 60 mph in only 3.6 seconds and complete the quarter mile in only 11.7 seconds.

2. Mercedes-Benz AMG C63 S Coupe

AMG is a legendary tuner for Mercedes-Benz, and those three letters stand for performance, taking the already powerful C-class and making the C63 S Coupe a true performer. The latest iteration of the C63 uses a twin turbo 4.0 liter V8 producing 503 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque, to blast to 60 mph in 3.9 seconds, and complete the quarter mile in 12.2 seconds. Even though it costs more than a Hellcat, with a base price of $75,00 that can balloon to over $100k with options, it won't beat the Challenger in a drag race.

3. Audi S7

Any time you see an "S" before the number on the back of an Audi, you know it's going to be fast, and the S7 is no exception. The swoopy Audi coupe uses a 450 hp, twin turbo V8 to power all four wheels, meaning 0-60 happens in 3.9 seconds, and the quarter mile is eclipsed in 12.4 seconds. You might feel and look good doing it, too, but you won't catch a Hellcat with those times and you'll have spent an extra $17,000. In fact, the Hellcat is nearly as fast as the $129,000 Audi RS7.

4. Aston Martin DB9 GT

How much money does it cost to drive James Bond's preferred ride? How about $200 grand? That money buys you a car with a V-12 producing 540 hp and 457 lb-ft of torque, but despite the Aston Martin's prestige, the DB9 GT is a dog compared to the Hellcat. The British GT car's 0-60 mph takes 4.4 seconds, and the quarter mile a full 12.8 seconds.

5. Maserati GranTurismo

The Maserati GranTurismo is a true Italian exotic - it looks incredible, sounds incredible, and feels incredible - but it also comes with a pretty incredible price tag, well north of $100,000. The sexy Italian has only 453 horsepower to push around 4,400 pounds, so this Italian Stallion can't outrun a Hellcat. The GranTurismo goes 0-60 mph in 4.7 seconds, and completes the quarter mile in 13.3 seconds.
