Shelby Omni GLH-S

Times were tough in the automotive industry into the 80's, and most cars built during that era are quite forgettable, and even most of the fast ones were slow. But the Shelby Omni GLH-S (go like hell some-more) is not one of those cars. Dodge partnered up with the legendary Carroll Shelby to turn its econobox into a rip roarin' pocket rocket. The heart of the beast was a 2.2 liter, turbocharged inline four-cylinder producing 175 hp and 175 lb-ft of torque. Sub 7-second 0-60 times might not impress today, but in 1986, that was flying, and it wasn't a straight line only car either, famously beating a 1960s Shelby GT350 around a road course. With a few easy mods and an increase in boost, you'll be in supercar territory with no problem.

Challenger SRT Demon

If the Hellcat is a little too tame for you, or you just want to own the world's quickest production car ever, let us introduce you to the Demon. With either 808 or 840 hp (depending on octane), you'll demolish the quarter mile in as little as 9.65 seconds. That's purpose-built race car territory, in a production car. The Demon is engineered and built to do one thing well, and that's destroy everything else in a straight line, and it does that very, very well. It's amazing that a car like this has made it to your dealer's lot, and you have to hand it to Dodge for doing just that.

OG Charger Daytona

The original 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona was created with one simple purpose in mind - winning big time NASCAR superspeedway races. And that it did in its very first race at Talladega. The Daytona was also the first stock car to break the 200 mph mark on the big ovals, thanks to its wind tunnel designed sheet metal. Today, it's best known as one of the wilder street cars ever produced. With a 23 inch tall rear wing, sheet metal nose cone, brake cooling ducts, and a flush rear window, it literally looked like a race car, because it was. These rare and valuable "winged warriors" seem destined to be one of the few special edition Dodges that never again see actual use on the streets, for obvious reasons.

Neon SRT-4

Early in the 21st century, Dodge took another swipe at turning an economy car into a performance icon and succeeded once again with the Neon SRT-4. Also once again, they did so with a turbocharged inline four-cylinder - this time a 2.4-liter unit producing 230 hp and 250 lb-ft of torque. The SRT-4 was the second fastest car in Dodge's lineup when it was introduced in 2003, trailing only the Viper with a 14.2-second quarter mile. And like the Omni, it handled, and it can easily be made to go much faster with a few simple mods.

OG Viper

The Viper is just one of those cars that grabs attention everywhere it goes. Aside from the wild styling taken directly from the concept car, everything else about the Viper is simply over the top. When it was introduced in 1992, the Viper was the blunt instrument of automobiles, with an 8.0 liter V-10 and no traction control, ABS brakes, metal roof, side windows, or air conditioning. The Viper did grow up and mature over the years, but it never lost that uniqueness that made it so special in the first place.

Challenger/Charger SRT Hellcat

Both the Hellcat Charger and Challenger are easy choices here because of their significance in the automotive world. No other manufacturer has the bravery to produce and sell anything like the Hellcat, which is the most extreme and unapologetic passenger car ever produced. Well, for now, anyway. This sports coupe, and family sedan both offer supercar levels of power and performance. With a ridiculous 707 hp, melting tires and blowing away just about everything on the road takes nothing more than a heavy right foot.

Dart GTS 440

In 1968, Dodge built one of the finest factory sleepers in history - the Dart GTS 440. A humble exterior with nothing more than some subtlety added badges covered up that this was actually a ridiculously fast car in its day. Three different engine options were available in the GTS, but the baddest was undoubtedly the 440 big block. Packing 375 hp and 480 lb-ft of torque, The GTS 440 ripped off 5 second 0-60 times and a 13.3 second quarter mile when properly tuned and driven. The best part? Nobody ever saw it coming.
