1. 1956 Dodge Coronet

In 1956, Dodge advertised their Coronet police cars, and they sold a fleet of them. These police vehicles were equipped with 325 Hemi engines, as well as a performance package that allowed the Coronet to develop 310 horsepower.

2. 1959 Dodge Dart

By 1959, the Dodge Dart Pursuit was available, a car that most agencies chose. The B-Body Dart was producing 325 horsepower, and there was a special 383 that developed 330 horsepower, which had tuned intakes that provided much better highway performance.

3. 1966 Dodge Polara

The Polara Pursuit was available in 1966, and it featured a 440-Wedge, an engine that pumps 365 horsepower, and 480 lb-ft of torque, using only a single carburetor. By 1967, the Polara was available with the special cam, which produced 375 horsepower.

4. 1974 Dodge Monaco

In 1974, the Dodge Monaco and the Ford CVPI were extremely close in competition, but the Monaco got the nod to be the next police car, due to its V8 440-engine, as well as its brake system, which was better than the Ford. The 1974 Dodge Monaco was seen in the movie Blues Brothers, which portrayed the car as nearly indestructible in it.

5. Dodge Magnum

In 2006, the police department chose the legendary Hemi V8 engine in the Dodge Magnum shell as one of their squad cars. The Magnum was rear-wheel drive, and it was bold and powerful, not to mention spacious. The massive engine developed 340 horsepower, and 390 lb-feet of torque. Although there was a V6 option, most departments chose the Hemi.

6. Dodge Caliber

You may have seen this police car in the Robocop movie, but you can also find it on the streets. The Dodge Caliber looks great in black and white, especially when you add the red and blue with it. Although on the streets it may look different than the Robocop movies, the Caliber still makes a great police car.

7. Dodge Ram

On November 8th, 2011, Dodge Ram officially introduced the Ram 1500 Special Service truck, a pickup equipped with the law enforcement package. For this package, the Ram offers the 5.7-liter V8 Hemi engine with the Fuel Saver Technology, which develops 390 horsepower and 407 lb-ft of torque.

8. Dodge Durango

For the SUV lovers, you will be happy to see the Durango in law enforcing black and white. Dodge offers the Durango for the police department, the fire department, and other government fleets. The special Durango features the 3.6-liter V6-engine, which produces 290 horsepower; however, Dodge does offer the optional 5.7-liter Hemi V8 motor, which produces 360 horsepower.

9. Dodge Charger

You've probably started seeing the Dodge Charger police cars on the streets, and if it doesn't make you want to become a police officer, nothing will. You won't see this one on the roads as much, but some police departments have a few of them, like the Fort Lauderdale, Florida police department, as well as numerous others. These cars are used for aggressive pursuits, education, as well as patrolling. These police variants are equipped with a tuned 400-horsepower Hemi engine, so if you see it in your rearview mirror, your best bet is to kindly pull-over.
