Coach Builders Ltd. Dodge Challenger Convertible

challengervert.jpg

Even after the announcement that Dodge would not be building a drop-top version of the awesome new Challenger, rumors travel about the future possibilities of their vert prayers being answered.  Still, Dodge has no official plans, but fear not, as Coach Builders Ltd. of High Springs, Florida has you covered with the SEMA debut of their 2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8 Convertible conversion.  Coach Builders is not new to the market, as they have previously offered convertible conversions for the Chrysler 300, as well as the Cadillac CTS and DTS.

Their display model will accompany their SEMA display, and other than the convertible conversion, this green and black Challenger is fitted with a Vortech supercharger, helping the 6.1L Hemi make 560 horsepower.  It also features a set of 22-inch Foose wheels, with a drop courtesy of a KW coil over setup.

This conversion package is expected to cost around $16,000 USD, putting you in the area of $58,000 when you figure the sticker price (plus any markup), so this isn't exactly a bargain, but the option is finally out there for deep pocketed Challenger owners.

Stay tuned for more information upon the debut in Las Vegas from DodgeForum.com, your source for SEMA 2008 event coverage!!
